My Amazon Author Page:

First, thanks for taking the time to visit my author page. Feel free to spend a few minutes here reviewing my work and getting a feel for my style and voice. I enjoy what I do and though my style is conversational, I’d like to think my passion for writing flows as an undercurrent through all of my work.

I’ve taken a chance on an interesting experiment in publishing. My novel, Talkeetna Trouble, has been published in a raw and uncut format. Here is a little synopsis:

“Tis an odd collection of inhabitants living at Hundred Mile. Watch as a gruff lodge owner, lovable goofball, fair maiden, trouble-making brothers and a self made Alaskan Woman all go ’round and ’round the Alaska wheel of (mis)fortune.”

My first book on Amazon is called The Writing Experience and it is a helpful e-Book for anyone who is considering becoming a writer. I hope you download and thoroughly enjoy it.

My book of flash fiction stories, The Short Book of Short Shorts, is also available and folks seem to love it. It’s less than a buck so go right now and get it for your Kindle!

Humble Beginnings

I’m George Angus.

Back in the early 90′s I was fortunate enough to have some articles published in the trade journals of my chosen profession (Emergency Medical Services). I had no idea at that time how important this was. I had a couple of years of successful writing projects and then I got busy operating a paramedic school and I ignored my writing career.

If I said we’re going to fast forward 15 years then I would be skipping over an entire chunk of my life. I’ll skip all the gory details, but it’s probably good enough to say that writing was always a tickle in the back of my brain, and I had the unwieldy combination of not knowing how to start laced with a bit of fear. Fear of what, I’m not sure. Success, failure, being laughed at, the unknown, who knows. Most likely all of the above.

I love writing and I love reading. I hope you do too.
